After a rather quiet June, Manchester United supporters are crossing their fingers for a bustling July as we delve into the heart of the summer transfer window. The Red Devils kicked off last month by snapping up Matheus Cunha in a whopping £62.5million deal but didn't manage to seal any other signings.

It wasn't for lack of effort though, as Ruben Amorim's squad have had two offers for Bryan Mbeumo knocked back. United's second bid totalled £63m including add-ons, but Brentford are holding out for that sum upfront, arguing that Mbeumo should fetch the same price tag as Cunha.

Negotiations between the Red Devils and Brentford are ongoing, with Mbeumo keen on the switch after giving Spurs the cold shoulder. It's clear that Amorim is focusing on bolstering his attack this summer, both in terms of arrivals and exits.

Four forwards - Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho, Jadon Sancho and Antony - don't feature in his long-term vision, while there's also been chatter about Rasmus Hojlund's future. If United can offload him, a striker could be next on the club's shopping list, reports the Mirror.

Manchester United are reportedly the only club to have touched base with Eintracht Frankfurt expressing their desire to sign Hugo Ekitike this summer. Ekitike, 23, has been linked with Liverpool and Chelsea, but it seems United are more committed to bringing the French striker on board - potentially for £85m.

German publication Bild has reported that the Red Devils are currently the only club in talks with Frankfurt. However, they suggest the situation could shift if Liverpool offload Darwin Nunez to Napoli.

Manchester United have reportedly seen off competition from top European clubs to secure the future of 16 year old whizz-kid Jayden Ngwashi. The Manchester Evening News reports that the highly-rated centre-back is poised to ink a scholarship this week and pledge his future to United.

Ngwashi made his league debut for United's under-18s in March and was promoted to the under-21 squad just a few weeks later. The ball-playing defender also dons the Three Lions jersey at youth level.

Saudi Arabian outfit Neom are reportedly set to snap up goalkeeper Marcin Bulka from Nice after Andre Onana expressed his desire to remain at Manchester United. Onana, 29, had been linked with a move following another inconsistent season between the posts.

However, French source Foot Mercato reports that Polish international Bulka has opted to join Neom and that the two clubs have agreed a fee. Sunderland had also struck a deal with the Ligue 1 side but look set to miss out.
