West Ham could soon bring Yunus Musah to the London Stadium.

The US international has been linked with a switch to East London as the midfielder looks set to leave AC Milan this summer.

This could see Graham Potter make a swoop at San Siro as he looks to put his own stamp on the claret and blue outfit in his first transfer window in charge.

As a result, the Englishman will be aware of the 22-year-old as he looks set to pack his bags ready for a move away from the Serie A giants.

Musah ready for move after West Ham interest

As things stand, it does feel as if the Hammers are in desperate need of reinforcements across the pitch after a difficult season in E20.

This could see midfield recruitments be one of the most important elements of the summer to help build a squad that fulfils the ex-Brighton head coach’s ambitions.

A signing or two certainly wouldn’t go amiss, especially with Tomas Soucek linked with an exit at this early stage of the window.

With that in mind, a West Ham swoop for Musah at Milan could make total sense, but there is no lack of competition for his signature.

This comes after Corriere dello Sport reported (1 July, page 17) that the American already has his bags packed at San Siro, ready for a departure.

The ex-Valencia man is destined to leave the Rossoneri with the Irons making an enquiry into a deal, alongside fellow Premier League outfit, Wolves.

West Ham in need of Musah signing

It isn’t often that a player with the quality and experience of the USMNT star comes up, especially when they are so young.

At 22, the midfielder has excellent experience, something which could prove to be invaluable in the heart of the engine room in E20.

Alongside the likes of James Ward-Prowse in claret and blue, Musah could prove to be excellent if he can acclimatise to the Premier League.

Milan’s number 80 has managed to adapt to both LaLiga and Serie A in his career, with the Premier League potentially next on his agenda.

It will now be the Job of Potter and Kyle Macaulay to convince the midfielder of a London Stadium switch over a deal at Molineux.
