Leeds United could potentially be affected in their approach for Norwich City striker Josh Sargent this transfer window.
The USA international is of interest at Elland Road, but it remains to be seen whether the Whites will make an offer for him in the coming weeks.
Daniel Farke relied on Joel Piroe to lead his attack last season, with the Dutch national winning the Championship Golden Boot.
The German manager is now looking to reinforce the West Yorkshire outfit after winning Premier League promotion, but 49ers Enterprises may have to break the bank to sign a new centre-forward.

It’s been claimed that the American striker could return to the Bundesliga soon, but it remains to be seen whether the German outfit can come to an agreement with the Canaries.
Farke’s team have already held talks with Sargent’s agents, and his situation will be one to watch closely in the coming weeks.

Leeds need reliable goalscorer for Premier League safety
Leeds could lose Patrick Bamford this summer, with Wrexham interested in the Englishman after their promotion to the Championship.
While the 31-year-old wasn’t a key player for Farke in the previous campaign, his loss will mean a lack of options in the number nine position.
Mateo Joseph’s future at Elland Road is also uncertain, with Real Betis working on a deal to sign him in the ongoing transfer window.
Leeds can’t go into next season with Piroe as their only reliable goalscoring option and should sign a reliable striker soon.
While the former Swansea star has been crucial to the Whites’ success in recent seasons, the German manager can’t expect him to have a similar impact in the English top flight.
The addition of a quality centre-forward could arguably help Farke improve his chances of helping the West Yorkshire outfit avoid relegation next season.
Sargent has consistently demonstrated his abilities up front in recent campaigns, and it would make sense for the Peacocks to try to sign him for a reasonable price.
