This will be the 10th team for the well-traveled Schroder, whose arrival gives the Kings the lead ballhandler they knew they needed heading into free agency.
Schroder, the German guard, averaged 13.1 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 5.4 assists last season while splitting time among three teams.
The 31-year-old started training camp with the Brooklyn Nets, who traded him to the Golden State Warriors in December. A couple of months later, the Warriors dealt him to the Detroit Pistons, where he helped a young squad reach the playoffs.
During his 12-year NBA career, Schroder has been with the Hawks, Thunder, Lakers (twice), Celtics, Rockets, Raptors, Nets, Warriors, Pistons, and now the Kings.

Sacramento, meanwhile, finished last season 40–42, overhauling their core by February.
They traded away All-Star point guard De'Aaron Fox and brought in two-time All-Star Zach LaVine.
They also made a coaching change, firing Mike Brown and promoting assistant Doug Christie to the head job.
