Without a doubt, Liverpool have had the strongest start to the summer transfer window across the Premier League.
Manchester City have also signed some excellent talent, but it’s Richard Hughes’ Liverpool side who are operating like champions on the transfer front.
Milos Kerkez is the latest high class addition at Anfield, and he’ll slot right into Arne Slot’s starting eleven alongside Jeremie Frimpong and Florian Wirtz next season.
Put simply, it’s a very exciting time to be a Liverpool fan, although there is one situation that might be causing concern on Merseyside.
As a result of his lack of minutes last season, Liverpool are ready to sell Harvey Elliott this summer.
But following his performances for England U21s last month, some fans now wonder if the club are making a serious mistake.
Micah Richards tells Liverpool not to sell Harvey Elliott this summer
That being said, when speaking alongside Gary Lineker on ‘The Rest Is Football’ podcast, Micah Richards weighed in on the Harvey Elliott debate.
Richards was very clear that Liverpool shouldn’t sell Elliott this summer, ‘not one bit’.
And the pundit actually compared the situation to when Man City sold Cole Palmer to Chelsea.
Richards said: “If I’m Liverpool, I’m not selling him. Not one bit. I’m not selling him.

“You know, it reminds me of the Cole Palmer situation when he was at Manchester City. And okay, you got Phil Foden, you got Kevin De Bruyne at the time, you got other young players coming through.
“And I just think if you could get a good Premier League team on loan for the season, because we keep talking about Salah, Salah signed a two-year deal, hasn’t he?
“And I mean, a year from now, it could be, I don’t want to say winding down, but might not be the same player that we used to over the years. And he could play that position so well. I would just wait.”
“I wouldn’t get rid of him right now. Not a chance.”
Lineker replied: “I wouldn’t disagree with that at all.”
Harvey Elliott might be waiting a long time for a chance at Liverpool
Although it’s a tough decision to sell Elliott this summer, it might actually be the best choice for all parties in reality.
Even if Elliott spends a year on loan at a club like Fulham or Wolverhampton Wanderers — who TBR Football understand are both interested, he might still return in a similar scenario.

Liverpool’s squad depth as things stand, without the inclusion of Harvey Elliott.
If Liverpool and Salah part ways in two years or so, fans on Merseyside would surely expect Hughes to sign a superstar replacement, leaving Elliott in a similar position.
And when it comes to playing centrally in a number 10 role, both Wirtz and Dominik Szobozslai have things covered for the foreseeable future.
Newcastle are stepping up their Elliott interest right now and perhaps Liverpool would be best to sell the midfielder for a good price this summer, before he becomes even more frustrated at Anfield.
