Chelsea have not been hesitant to spend money early this summer as they look to get their squad in shape way before the 2025/26 Premier League campaign gets underway.
The Blues moved early to beat a number of sides to the signing of Liam Delap, who already looks as if he is going to be an important player under Enzo Maresca’s leadership.
Ahead of their Club World Cup quarter-final with Benfica, it was reported Chelsea had finally come to an agreement with Borussia Dortmund over the signing of Jamie Gittens.
The Blues wanted Gittens before the tournament began, and will now have to wait until the opening game of next season against Crystal Palace to see him in action.

Joao Pedro to sign Chelsea contract today
Not long after though, Chelsea showed their intent to revolutionise their attacking options by reaching an agreement to sign Joao Pedro from Brighton.
The Blues blew Newcastle out the water with a £60m bid for the Brazilian, and he was adamant that he wanted the move to Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea believe Pedro is the ‘perfect’ addition for them due to his ability to play pretty much anywhere in the attacking line.
Fabrizio Romano has claimed that the 23-year-old has completed his medical ahead of the move, and is set to sign his contract in the coming hours.

Pedro’s Chelsea debut could come soon
As per Club World Cup rules, teams have until July 3 to register up to two new players to their squad for the remainder of the competition.
It was reported before the deal was done that Chelsea wanted Pedro for the Club World Cup, with the players currently in the squad being tested to the limits so far in the tournament.
Extreme weather has forced Maresca to rotate his side wherever possible, and this could actually come at the benefit of their new signing.
There is a chance Pedro is handed his Chelsea debut up against countryman and future teammate Estevao Willian and Palmeiras.
