Nottingham Forest will be stepping up their efforts to land new players this month following a slow start to the transfer window.
In truth, it’s been a slow time of things for a number of Premier League clubs with the new season still around six weeks away.
Forest have signed Igor Jesus from Botafogo with an official announcement thought to be imminent from the football club over his arrival.
Other players are being loosely linked with the Reds, with Richard Rios on the Forest radar over a transfer after the Club World Cup.
The main priority for Forest this summer will be trying desperately to keep hold of their current stars, with Anthony Elanga wanted by Newcastle.
Evangelos Marinakis will be fully focused on strengthening the squad, and with the latest PSR cycle starting up again, the Reds might just start to get busy when it comes to recruitment.

Nottingham Forest set to make bid for Pablo Maffeo
It’s fair to say that Forest would welcome some strength in depth at full-back, with Neco Williams and Ola Aina the two players in possession of the shirts last season.
Over the weekend, it was claimed that Forest had an interest in Pablo Maffeo, and now it appears that those links do have some substance.

However, reports of a bid being made are wide of the mark, with Mallorca now braced for a bid this week for their prized asset at the back.
Marca claim that the former Manchester City prospect is valued at £8 million and expect to receive bids for the player this week, with Forest among the potential suitors.
Forest could complete bargain deal for Maffeo
At 27, Maffeo looks like a decent player to come in and make an immediate impact, with the defender making 31 appearances for Mallorca last season.
He largely operates as a right-back, and he feels like the sort of player who would come in and immediately challenge Aina for his place in the team.
Maffeo has pledged his international allegiance to Argentina, although he’s yet to make an appearance for them and perhaps moving to the Premier League can help him get among the caps.
The fee of £8 million is hardly going to break the bank and given the valuation placed on his head this summer, Forest could do a lot worse than bring him to the City Ground.
