Manchester United’s transfer business has proven frustratingly slow this summer, but in terms of retentions, Ineos has done some excellent work this week.
The transfer window has been open for around a month, and so far there have been three academy additions by Ineos.
Manchester United have once again placed an emphasis on players for the future, with some excellent prospects tipped to arrive.
United are set to welcome Diego Leon this week from Cerro Porteno in Paraguay as he looks set to get a chance in pre-season.
Following the wing-back, United will also sign Enzo Kana-Biyik as his contract with Le Havre has now expired.
Additionally, United have signed Harley Emsden-James from Southampton for around £1m this summer as an U18 signing. However, no matter how good these signings are, the retentions being sorted at United have the potential to be even better.

In addition, United have secured the future of Jayden Ngwashi and now there is another exciting bit of news for the academy.
This comes on the 1st of July, with United academy news account Red Youth United claiming that Jay McEvoy had committed his future.
The 16-year-old Ireland youth international has agreed to scholarship terms with United which should see him sign a professional contract once he turns 17 later this year.
Considered an exciting midfield talent, this is an excellent deal for United to keep him at the club considering how highly regarded he is across Europe.
Jay McEvoy compared with Barcelona legend Xavi
The Manchester United academy currently boasts a substantial list of talented footballers, which has the potential to lead to a golden period for the club if the potential can be fulfilled.
McEvoy is one of the most exciting midfielders currently at the club and as a testament to this, Italian outlets have already dubbed him as being a Xavi-esque midfielder.
The Ireland prospect has brilliant vision and a strong passing range which makes him elite in the build-up and also in slipping teammates in behind with through balls.
McEvoy already has a footballing IQ beyond his years which helps him out-class opponents.
One area where he can improve is in terms of physicality, however that will come.
