In the space of 12 months, Kamada has already made history in South London since signing from Serie A side Lazio.
The midfielder made his debut on the opening day of the 2024/25 season, in the defeat at Brentford's Gtech Community Stadium. In doing so, he became the first Japanese player in our history, as well as the 1000th different player to wear Crystal Palace colours since we joined the Football League in 1920.
One of the highlights of his maiden season in English football came at Villa Park in the Carabao Cup last 16 back in October. Introduced as a first-half substitute, Kamada fired home a low shot from the edge of the box just after hour mark, booking our quarter-final place.

It was a competition that brought plenty of rewards for Kamada early on in his Palace career, having also scored against Norwich and provided an assist in the win over QPR.
Another standout moment came in the thrilling 2-2 draw at Arsenal in April. Kamada's all action display saw him claim the player of the match award.
The Japan international enjoyed the second-highest passing accuracy of Palace players to complete the full 90 minutes (88.2%), showing the type of composure that made him a calming presence in the Eagles' midfield.
Of course, his finest hour in red and blue was still to come, with Kamada starting and completing the full game in the historic FA Cup Final win. Once again he produced an excellent performance, involved in the flowing team move that led to Ebere Eze's winning goal.
After an excellent first year in South London, here's to many more highlights for Daichi at Palace...
