Leeds have set their sights on Anton Stach as a potential recruit this summer.

Daniel Farke is looking to add top-flight experience to his squad as they prepare for a brutal Premier League survival battle.

The Whites have already completed the signings of Jaka Bijol and Lukas Nmecha and are expected to add Sebastiaan Bornauw into the mix too.

However, there are no signs of them stopping there in their pursuit of new additions, with eyes now on Stach and Hoffenheim.

Stach would be a great signing for Leeds

Stach has been capped two times for Germany and has notched five goals and 16 assists in 122 Bundesliga matches in his career so far.

The 26-year-old is dominant in the air and covers ground efficiently, and would be a top-quality addition to Farke’s squad.

Stats (Bundesliga) Stach

Matches 30

Ground duels won 58.1%

Aerial duels won 56.8%

Minutes played 2,590

Stach’s stats last season.

Most of his appearances have come as a defensive midfielder, but he is versatile, having played 60 times as a number 10 and 34 in the number eight role and can also feature as a centre-back and right midfielder when called upon.

The Whites’ approach in the transfer window has been impressive so far, signing players who are all experienced at the elite level and in the prime of their careers.

The lack of experience in English football is a concern, but Ao Tanaka proved that it was not an issue last season, starring in the LS11 outfit’s promotion campaign.

Stach may be the best signing so far, but whether the Whites can pull off a deal for his signature remains to be seen, after a breakout year in the Europa League.

They still need an attacker, with the likes of Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Nikola Krstovic linked, but the 49ers have backed Farke well so far.
