Target: Mohammed Kudus
Tottenham Hotspurs Football Newsletter
Kudus is available for £85million for Premier League clubs, £80m for European clubs, and £120m for Saudi sides between July 1 and July 10.
Standard Sport understands Chelsea have not ruled out a push to sign Kudus, but Tottenham are said to be confident they can sign the forward for well below his buyout fee.
Spurs want to sign a forward who can play across the front line and had considered Bryan Mbeumo, but the Brentford forward is a Manchester United fan and only has eyes for a move to Old Trafford.
West Ham are strapped for cash and need to sell this summer to raise funds for a much-needed squad rebuild.
After captain Jarrod Bowen, who is untouchable, Kudus is the club’s most valuable asset and, therefore, available this summer, and for less than his £85m release clause fee.

Kudus impressed following his £38m move from Ajax in 2023, but, along with many of his team-mates, his performances dropped last season as the Hammers finished 14th in a largely forgettable campaign.
It is understood that he is open to challenging himself at a bigger club like Spurs, but is unlikely to force a move.
Kudus was offered to Chelsea unexpectedly earlier this month, but there is a disparity between the clubs’ respective valuations of the player.
Chelsea are still active in the market and being kept aware of Kudus’s situation, despite last week agreeing deals totalling a combined £115m for versatile attackers Jamie Gittens and Joao Pedro.
