Manchester United are only a week away from kickstarting their pre-season training ahead of the new Premier League season.
This season saw The Red Devils fall to 15th place in the Premier League, their worst result since their relegation in 1973, with two key players leading in the unwanted stats.
Whilst Andre Onana ranked as the Premier League goalkeeper with the most mistakes directly leading to a goal being conceded, Rasmus Hojlund also ranked as the worst Premier League striker for both goals and assists per 90 minutes played and for expected goals and assists per 90 minutes played.
As such, United’s recruitment team are scouring Europe to find top talent to rejuvenate Ruben Amorim’s lacking squad.

Already United have signed Matheus Cunha from Wolverhampton Wanderers, and are now working on a deal for Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo.
However, the club are still looking at signing a striker, a midfielder, a wing-back and a goalkeeper this summer.
Now, one man who United have been linked with since last summer could still be up for grabs.
The Red Devils have been closely linked to Crystal Palace’s Eberechi Eze for some time now, with the England international being a proven Premier League talent.

Whilst Arsenal have been front-runners for his signature, the door could still be open for United.
The Athletic has reported that despite interest from The Gunners, no official contact has been made between Palace and Arsenal, or any club for that matter.
This means the attacking midfielder could still be an option for Amorim.
However, with United’s sole focus on Bryan Mbeumo, a move for Eberechi Eze may only come into play should a deal with Brentford fall through.
