Two-time winners, Everton were beaten 2-0 by the Chelsea in the showpiece final. The West-London sides first goal came in the 12th minute, after a handball decision that went against Everton.
The last time the Blues won the Amputee FA Cup was in 2023, where they put on a commanding performance and beat Portsmouth 4-2 at St Georges Park.
The following season Pompey looked for revenge and beat Everton 3-2 in an enthralling final.
The Blues were heading into their third final in a row and looking to take back the Amputee EE Disability FA Cup, but Chelsea stood in their way of glory.
Chelsea’s Darren Mitchell rifled his penalty into the top left corner to put Chelsea ahead after 12 minutes.
However, the Toffees were not phased and Francis Antwi-Darkwah forced Chelsea goalkeeper Chris Ferguson into action three minutes later, showing that Everton were not going down without a fight.
Chelsea substitute Jonathan Nyarko put away the Londoner's second goal in the 25th minute, after a superb cross from 17-year-old, Sofyan Filali.
Steve Johnson’s side went in at half time 2-0 down, as their hopes of retaining the Amputee EE Disability Cup was slowly fading.
Everton came out and looked to get back into the game, with them creating multiple chances, but could not break down Chelsea’s solid defensive block.
Although it was disappointment for Everton on Saturday, one positive is that they have qualified for the 2025 EAFF Champions League.
