Manchester United in the mix to sign Fabian Ruiz from PSG–Part of club’s star midfield

Manchester United have targeted Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Fabian Ruiz and are among several clubs eyeing up a move.

That’s [according to Foot Mercato](https://www.footmercato.net/a3368147162848783223-psg-manchester-united-sattaque-a-fabian-ruiz), who report that Ruiz is attracting attention around Europe after an excellent year with PSG.

They state that several sides are tracking the Spanish international, whose current deal runs until June 2027.

Saudi Arabian side Al-Nassr are particularly keen, but Foot Mercato say that Manchester United are also in the running for the 29-year-old. If they want to secure a move, though, they will have to convince PSG.

The French champions are counting on Ruiz, who is highly regarded by Luis Enrique and considered a key element of the team that won the Champions League last season. They want to ensure there is continuity in midfielder and believe their current trio of Vitinha, Neves and Ruiz has more room to grow.

In other words, they don’t want to sell and would instead prefer to extend Ruiz’s contract if they can. For now, that doesn’t appear to be a priority but perhaps the interest from Manchester United, Al-Nassr and others will pus that matter along.

Fabian Ruiz joined PSG from Napoli in 2022 and it would be no surprise if his agents are chasing a pay rise on that contract, with namedropping Manchester United a well used route to go down.
