Newcastle United drop hidden message in 2025/26 kit launch, fans will absolutely love it -…

Newcastle United have released their third shirt for the 2025/26 season, a modern tribute to the 1997/98 kit. Fans will love the subtle message included in a new video posted by the club.

After initial leaks in June, the Magpies have officially unveiled their third shirt for the 2025/26 season, and it is beautiful.

Newcastle United and Adidas have collaborated once again to release a modern take on the iconic 1997/98 away shirt worn by the likes of club legend Alan Shearer. Now it will be worn by future legends like Sandro Tonali and Dan Burn.

Upon seeing the new shirt, Newcastle fans praised Adidas for their work, with many confirming they will be purchasing it. It appears many fans have changed their opinions since the announcement. Newcastle supporters were far from pleased at initial leaks of the third shirt, but now appear to have taken a shine to it.

The reveal video, posted by the club, is narrated by local rockstar Sam Fender, who recently performed three memorable shows at St James’ Park. The video also features Newcastle legends like Tino Asprilla, Nobby Solano and Jonas Gutierrez.

In a new video, Newcastle have made a subtle hint that three players linked with moves away will be staying at the club after they were prominently featured.

Newcastle United drop cheeky triple transfer hint in 2025/26 third shirt release

Newcastle are working hard on new signings this summer, but there have also been rumours surrounding several players at the club.

Alexander Isak has interest from Liverpool, while other reports have suggested that Bruno Guimaraes and Anthony Gordon could leave after attracting interest from Saudi Arabia and Arsenal, respectively.

However, Newcastle appear to have quashed any rumours of them leaving the club by featuring them prominently in their third shirt release videos. The trio were given their own sections of the initial announcement video, and a new video of the three modelling the shirts has now been shared by the club.

The latest video also features Tonali, who was linked with a move to Juventus, but those transfer links have since died down as he looks more than happy to stay on Tyneside.

Newcastle are set to open new contract talks with Isak this summer, while Gordon recently signed a new long-term deal to make him one of the club’s biggest earners.

One Newcastle United player does not feature in the third shirt announcement

While those three Newcastle stars are featured heavily in the club’s videos, one player is not seen at all. Tino Livramento is coming off a sensational season with the Magpies, playing at right and left-back to help Newcastle qualify for the Champions League.

However, he is nowhere to be seen in the videos. Livramento has attracted interest from Manchester City this summer, but it is believed that Newcastle are not interested in selling him at any price.

While his lack of inclusion in the video may be worrying, it is likely because he was away with England’s Under-21s on international duty.

Livramento helped England Under-21s win the Euros in Slovakia in June, with his performances up there with the best for the Young Lions.

The 22-year-old was seen partying with former Newcastle man Elliot Anderson after the win, making fans reminisce of times when the Geordie Maradona was at the club.
