Just in: Sky Sports say Arsenal have now submitted offer to sign 'mentality monster' from…

Arsenal have submitted an offer to Chelsea winger Noni Madueke about a potential summer transfer, according to Sky Sports journalist Florian Plettenberg.

The Gunners are keen to strengthen their attack this summer after three consecutive runners-up finishes in the Premier League under Mikel Arteta, and there are a number of wingers on their shortlist.

But England international Madueke is seemingly edging towards the top of that list, with reports now stating that the club have made him an offer to move to the Emirates Stadium.

Noni Madueke in action for Chelsea

Madueke, who has been described as a 'mentality monster', has been a regular for Enzo Maresca's Chelsea side during the 2024/25 season and at the Club World Cup this summer, featuring both on the right and left-wing.

But with the Blues agreeing a deal to sign Jamie Bynoe-Gittens from Borussia Dortmund and Joao Pedro from Brighton, his future has been plunged into doubt and the Gunners are now ready to convince him to switch blue for red in London.

According to Plettenberg, Arsenal have 'submitted an offer' to the former PSV Eindhoven winger and talks are ongoing with Chelsea about a deal, with the 23-year-old a serious candidate to depart Stamford Bridge this summer.

Arteta is keen on signing a new winger for his side and Real Madrid star Rodrygo remains a "dream target" for the Champions League semi-finalists, but the Brazilian is still yet to make a decision on his future at the Bernabeu and therefore Arsenal are eyeing alternatives.

Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze is also said to be a target, although David Ornstein has revealed that pursuit is separate to the search for a new winger, while Nico Williams looks set to be heading to Barcelona instead despite heavy interest from the Gunners.
