Liverpool have been at the centre of attention for some time now.
The Reds were the most dominant team in the Premier League last season, with Arne Slot’s men cruising their way to the title.
This summer, things have been a little different to how they usually go as the Reds have been one of the busiest teams in the transfer market.
More often than not, the Anfield outfit have sat back and held their purse strings tight, but this summer, they’ve spent almost £200million on five new signings.

However, with all of these arrivals, some exits will have to be sanctioned, with the next month of Liverpool’s transfer window likely focused on recouping some of the money they’ve spent.
Alan Pardew believes it will be ‘difficult’ for Harvey Elliott to get into the Liverpool team this season
Florian Wirtz was added to Arne Slot’s ranks over the last week or so, with the young German likely to end up battling Dominik Szoboszlai for the attacking midfielder spot in the Reds’ team.
And, while having two players of a similar quality is ideal but it will likely end up being detrimental for the younger members of the squad, such as Harvey Elliott.
And, while speaking live on talkSPORT, Alan Pardew shared that he believes it will be “difficult” for Elliott to make his way into Slot’s plans this season.

“When you come down to Elliott, I just don’t know where he would get into that team,” he said.
“And, when you look at Liverpool at the moment with their new signings, wow, you know, it’s really going to be difficult for him to kind of back this up now, this trophy win because obviously he’s been at the centre of everything, hasn’t he.”
Harvey Elliott should only be let go for the right price
There’s no denying that Elliott is an incredible talent, with Neil Mellor even calling him “special.”
The midfielder was Jurgen Klopp’s star boy and has more often than not managed to perform to a fairly high standard when called upon.
However, as he’s only 22 years old and still has the entirety of his career ahead of him, it’s unfair for the Anfield outfit to keep him on the bench.
Elliott was England’s best player at the Under-21s World Cup, with the midfielder showing that he was levels above his teammates.

With this in mind, it’s unsurprising that several clubs, such as Tottenham, have already been linked with an interest in him.
At the moment, though, it’s anybody’s guess what Slot’s team could look like, but for now, Elliott feels likely to be on his way out.
