Over recent months Juventus have been looking to several Manchester United stars in a bid to fight back up the Serie A table.
Last season the Italian club finished in fourth place, having not won the league since the 2019/20 season, routinely coming in fourth since.
Their last league title marked their 36th Serie A victory, lifting the trophy nine times in a row before falling from the top spot.
Whilst Juve are nowhere near losing their record for most Serie A titles, with Inter Milan in second with 20, The Old Lady want to get back to lifting silverware once more.
As such, the Italian side have been looking to both Jadon Sancho and Rasmus Hojlund as potential reinforcements.
Sancho’s United career came to an end a year and a half ago when a public bust up with then-manager Erik ten Hag saw him return to Borussia Dortmund on loan for half a season before spending last season with Chelsea.
Whereas Hojlund has had his chance as United’s first-choice striker, however has been unable to live up to the role, ranking as the worst Premier League striker this season for both goals and assists per 90 minutes played and for expected goals and assists per 90 minutes played.
However, Juventus have held Hojlund in high regard thanks to his time with Atalanta, proving him as able to provide in Serie A.
That said, it’s Sancho that Juve are looking to pursue strongest, with Sky Sports revealing that the Italian side are still in contact with the winger over personal terms.
It’s understood that United and Juve are in contacts, negotiating a move with The Red Devils holding to the £25 million transfer fee agreed with Chelsea at the point of his loan agreement.
Unfortunately the main barrier standing in the way of the move is Sancho’s wage, having deterred several suitors in the past.
As such, Sky Sports have reported that it’s likely the winger will need to take a pay-cut, with Juve in contact with his representatives over personal terms.
It’s understood that Sancho is keen to remain in the top European leagues, despite interest from Fenerbahce who could cover his full wage. However, the winger will need to asses how willing he is to cut his earnings to remain in the top flights.
