Manchester United continue to advance on a deal to sign Brentford winger Bryan Mbeumo, journalist Fabrizio Romano has revealed.
The Red Devils are believed to be engaged in constant talks over the Cameroonian international’s arrival at Old Trafford and are working towards an agreement with Brentford.
Romano claims United are going ‘very strong’ on Mbeumo and have a positive feeling about the deal, with expectations that a breakthrough could be reached in the coming days.
Mbeumo has already given his green light to join forces with Ruben Amorim this summer, despite interest from Tottenham, who appointed his former boss Thomas Frank last month.

‘The feeling is quite positive’
Bryan Mbeumo in action for Brentford
Romano, speaking on his YouTube channel, has revealed that Mbeumo’s summer arrival at Old Trafford remains a strong possibility, as talks between Manchester United and Brentford continue:
“I can tell you that today, even if it's Sunday, the contacts continue, even today, between Manchester United and Brentford.
“So constant contacts between the two clubs to reach an agreement for Bryan Mbeumo. There is still no here we go, but may United keep working on that, United keep advancing, United keep their confidence and their optimism to make the deal happen.
“So Manchester United are going very strong for Bryan Mbeumo, and now the feeling is quite positive on that one, once again.
“So don't forget the Bryan Mbeumo deal for the next days, for the next week also, because Man United will be pushing and pushing again to get it over the line, and so the here we go is still a strong possibility for Bryan Mbeumo as a new Manchester United player.”
Mbeumo has entered the final year of his contract with Brentford, who reportedly value the 25-year-old at £78m and look destined to sell this summer.
The 25-year-old forward has no shortage of suitors following a career-best Premier League season, with 20 goals and eight assists in 38 appearances.
Man United announced Matheus Cunha as their first signing of the summer last month, and they continue to prioritise attacking reinforcements with the Mbeumo deal now advancing.
The Red Devils are also expected to sign a new striker and have recently rejected an opportunity to sign Al-Nassr’s Jhon Duran on loan.
