Nottingham Forest still interested in winger – Transfer wanted, won’t be involved in today’s game

Last week, Nottingham Forest’s move for Juventus duo Timothy Weah and Samuel Mbangula fell through.

The Premier League club were negotiating a double move with the Bianconeri being keen, but Weah’s agent made it clear that the American was not interested in leaving the Old Lady.

This led to Nottingham Forest abandoning the chase entirely. Now, it seems as if Nuno Espirito Santo’s side haven’t truly given up on signing one of the two players.

TuttoSport report Mbangula is still in Nottingham Forest’s thinking. While Weah is likely to stay in Turin, the Belgian can very much depart.

He major opportunity for Juve to earn a capital gain. Nicolo Savona has picked up an injury that will keep him out for many weeks and Kenan Yildiz is seen as an unsellable entity, so the options are running out.

This leaves Mbangula as the only key candidate to leave and the newspaper reports he will not be involved in Juve’s Club World Cup game against Real Madrid today.

Il Messaggero report similar. They note that the 21-year-old is not central to manager Igor Tudor’s plans and is likely to depart.

Bournemouth have been linked with Mbangula in the last few days and it remains to be seen if they make a concrete move for him or not.
