On the back of a Premier League title winning campaign, Liverpool are looking to the summer transfer window in a bid to defend their title next season.
As such, Arne Slot’s side are looking to two of Manchester United’s striker targets to bring more firepower to Anfield.
It was recently reported that Liverpool have added Victor Osimhen and Hugo Ekitike to their shortlist of strikers, however the club are now advancing their interest in one of the attackers.
Fabrizio Romano has reported that Liverpool have continued to have discussions around signing Ekitike from Eintracht Frankfurt.

Romano took to YouTube, explaining: “Liverpool are working on this deal. Liverpool are discussing the possibility to add Hugo Ekitike to their squad.”
He continued: “The idea is for Liverpool to have one more striker. They are waiting to understand what happens with Darwin Nunez with conversations ongoing with Napoli.
“So Napoli are working on Ren Luka but keep contacts active also for Darwin Nunez.
“But apart from this story, Liverpool can add a new striker. Liverpool are waiting to find a solution for Darwin, and so Hugo Ekitike remains a name on the list for Liverpool.”
Manchester United have been pursuing Ekitike for some time now, however his £85 million price tag is proving too much for The Red Devils this summer.
As such, United may have to brace themselves to face the French striker in the Premier League next season, unfortunately for them with one of their bitter rivals.
This would be the second striker United have targeted to go to one of their opposition this summer, as Liam Delap favoured a move to Chelsea over Old Trafford due to the lure of Champions League football.
