'Club-to-club contact': European giants in talks with Man Utd for 25yo, Napoli have 'cooled…

Manchester United are looking to rebuild their squad by offloading a few of their unwanted stars.

Jadon Sancho is one of the first names the club want to sell this summer.

According to Sky Sports, Juventus continue to work on a deal to sign Sancho, with club-to-club contacts ongoing.

Juventus are also in talks with Sancho’s representatives as they want the forward to take a pay cut.

It was reported in recent weeks that Napoli are also exploring options to sign Sancho but have now “cooled their interest” in him.

United are ready to part ways with Sancho for a fee of around £25 million.

The Englishman moved to Old Trafford from Borussia Dortmund in a deal worth £73m in 2021.

He has since failed to meet expectations or live up to his grand hype.

Not only his performances, but also his social media antics have caused fans to grow distant from him.

He spent the last 1.5 years on loan at Dortmund and Chelsea but did not do enough to impress his suitors.

The Blues refused to sign him permanently after he declined to take a pay cut.

They paid a £5m penalty to get out of their obligation to buy him.

Sancho is currently earning an eye-catching salary of around £250,000 per week.

United have one last chance to sell him for a decent fee, considering his contract expires in 12 months.

It is highly unlikely that any club will meet Sancho’s salary demands due to his inconsistent form.

The 25-year-old could cause more trouble for United by staying another season and leaving for free next summer.
