Brighton have placed a £28million price tag on in-demand striker Evan Ferguson, sources have told Football Insider.
The Premier League club are keen to offload the Republic of Ireland striker permanently this summer amid interest from Premier League clubs including Everton, Nottingham Forest, and Fulham.
Leading European sides have also registered their interest in Ferguson during the summer window.
But hopes of a huge fee for Ferguson have receded following a difficult year, which includes a difficult loan spell at West Ham in the second half of last season.
There was once talk of a £100m valuation of Ferguson, 20, but his price tag has now been slashed.
Brighton will accept a cut-price fee this summer for the centre-forward as they are well aware that his spell at West Ham has put off buyers from paying a huge fee.

Ferguson price tag hurt by West Ham spell
Ferguson had his breakout season for Brighton back in 2022/23, scoring six goals in just ten starts for the Seagulls.
At that point, his stock was sky-high, but a combination of injury struggles and poor form over the past two years has led to a drop in the striker’s value.
Last season, the Ireland international managed just one goal in the opening half of the season, and after a loan switch to West Ham in January, he didn’t find the back of the net for the rest of the campaign.
The centre-forward started just one Premier League game for the Hammers, with Graham Potter preferring other options up front.

Newcastle turn attention to Mohammed Kudus
Meanwhile, Football Insider have exclusively revealed that West Ham winger Mohammed Kudus is on the radar at Newcastle United after they missed out on Joao Pedro and Bryan Mbeumo.
The Magpies had submitted a bid for Pedro but he has chosen to join Chelsea, while Mbeumo has his heart set on a move to Man United before September’s deadline.
Kudus has emerged as a target for Newcastle despite a disappointing 2024-25 campaign for West Ham.
The Ghana international is very much on the radar for Eddie Howe’s side alongside Anthony Elanga, with Football Insider revealing on Monday (30 June) that they are readying an improved offer for the Nottingham Forest winger.
