The United winger looks set to leave the club in the coming weeks following his fallout with Ruben Amorim.

The Manchester United winger appears set to leave the club this summer, but now a surprising new club has entered the race.

Ever since Ruben Amorim was appointed as former manager Erik ten Hag's replacement as United manager back in November, Rashford's future at the club has been cast in doubt.

Only one month after his arrival, the Portuguese boss made the controversial call to drop Rashford form the squad for arguably the biggest match of the season, the Manchester derby against local rivals Manchester City in December.

The fallout with Amorim ultimately led him to join Premier League rivals Aston Villa on a short-term loan in January, ahead of a potential permanent move in the summer.

Since Rashford's imminent departure became clear, several clubs have shown interest in securing his signature, including La Liga giants Barcelona, but now a new club has entered the race out of nowhere.

According to German outlet BILD, Bayern Munich are now considering a move for Rashford, months viewing him as the perfect player to slot into their attack either on the left or as a new striker.

Initial reports in Germany suggesting that the Bundesliga giants were interested in the 27-year-old emerged several months ago, but it now appears that the situation is heating up and Bayern could submit a bid in the coming weeks.

The German side are said to have been impressed by Rashford's strong performances at Aston Villa, believing that it represented him returning to the promising form he had shown earlier in his career.

In total, Rashford made 17 appearances for Aston Villa in all competitions, scoring four goals and assisting six.

But the England international isn't the only forward on Bayern's list of transfer targets this summer, as PSG youngster Bradley Barcola, Nico Williams, Rafael Leao and Liverpool star Luis Diaz are all also under consideration.

The report claims that United will look for around €45million if they are to sell Rashford this summer, a fee that is believed to fit in with sporting director Max Eberl's claims that the club will be saving

Should Rashford make the move to Munich, he will join England captain Harry Kane and former Crystal Palace star Michael Olise in Bayern's attacking line.
