His performances followed an excellent season with Stuttgart, where he scored 17 goals in all competitions and helped the side to DFB-Pokal success.
Clubs across Europe have enquired into the conditions of a transfer but Woltemade has his sights set on Bayern Munich.
The 23-year-old has agreed a five-year contract with the Bundesliga champions, who are preparing an opening bid.
Negotiations are expected to accelerate following the conclusion of the u-21 Euros. Fabrizio Romano is reporting that Woltemade ‘only wants’ to join Bayern this summer and an approach from a Premier League club was turned down last week.
It is expected that Stuttgart will demand a fee in the region of €60m (£51.4m) for Woltemade, who only joined the club from Werder Bremen on a free transfer last summer.
Bayern are keen to reinforce their attacking options following the exits of Thomas Muller, Mathys Tel and Leroy Sane.
