Everton fans are hoping that July will be a much more productive month for incomings.
It has been a slow start to the summer so far with only Carlos Alcaraz completing a move to the Toffees on a permanent deal.
He’s not seen as a new signing though.
There had been hope that Everton would sign Kenny Tete after reaching a verbal agreement with the player.
But there was a blow for David Moyes last night, as it was claimed Fulham are now confident of keeping Tete, despite that verbal agreement Everton previously had with the player.
Everton continue to work away on deals.
And one player the club may seek an ambitious move for is Harvey Elliott.
Everton News was informed that Everton have been tracking Elliott, along with half the teams in the Premier League.
But a new demand from Liverpool has come to light which potentially makes a move all but impossible.

According to The Athletic, Liverpool would seek to place a buy-back option in any deal to sell Elliott this summer.

They would do this if the price was above £40 million, but not if a club was willing to pay £50 million.

The club have supposedly factored in the ideal that Elliott is worth more than Jarell Quansah – a previous Everton target – who is completing a move to Bayer Leverkusen for £35 million all-in.
Liverpool have watched on for the past few weeks as Elliott has shone for the England U21s at the European Championships.
Seemingly, they are determined to ensure that they cover themselves in the event Elliott leaves.
Surely, this development makes a move to Everton highly unlikely.
Everton should target James McAtee over Elliott
It is clear that Liverpool are not going to accept anything less than top dollar for Elliott this summer, and they are now trying to capitalise on his great form
A move to Everton is highly unlikely to happen, but Moyes can still land himself a brilliant young English talent this summer.
James McAtee has been of interest to Everton, and like Elliott, has shone at the Euros.

McAtee sent a real message to Moyes with his Player of the Match display against Germany in the final on Sunday, and would make for a really exciting addition by Everton.
and he would also cost a lot less since he’s in to the final year of his Manchester City contract.
But several Bundesliga clubs want McAtee, so Everton must act decisively if they want him. Frustratingly though, like Liverpool with Elliott, City would also expect to agree a buy-back clause for McAtee.
