Report: Joao Pedro already has big personal dream he thinks he can achieve at Chelsea

Joao Pedro will soon experience a different level of pressure once his move from Brighton to Chelsea is finalised.

In a fast-moving transfer saga, Joao Pedro looks set to leave Brighton and join Chelsea this summer.

It’s been reported that Pedro will sign a Chelsea contract on Tuesday after completing a medical. Incidentally, he will be joining the Blues for £55m plus £5m in add-ons.

The 23-year-old attacker has played for Fluminense, Watford and Brighton in a club career that has been on the rise. However, his next challenge will be establishing himself at Stamford Bridge inside a star-studded dressing room.

Joao Pedro thinks Chelsea move can boost Brazil chances

According to TalkSPORT, Pedro feels that joining Chelsea can help cement himself as a starter for the Brazilian national side ahead of the 2026 World Cup.

The report explains that the South American forward opted to join the Blues over rival suitors Newcastle United. He feels that success in Chelsea colours will help him achieve his dreams of representing his country at next year’s major international tournament.

Blues head coach Enzo Maresca is a major fan of Pedro, particularly because of his versatility to play as a No 9, No 10 or a winger.

To date, Pedro has earned three senior international caps for Brazil, playing as a central striker in them. The history of the centre-forward position with the Brazilian national team is legendary and brings pressure in itself.

The Brazilian contingent emerging at Chelsea

Some legendary Brazilian players have represented Chelsea in the past, so it’s great to see that a new core is emerging at the club.

Once Pedro’s move to the Bridge is finalised, he will join up with fellow countryman Andrey Santos at the Club World Cup. In addition, Brazilian wonderkid Estevao Willian officially joins from Palmeiras after the summer tournament.

We anticipate Pedro will have no issue adapting to a new environment, especially because of the familiar faces.

He will bring both the Brazilian flair and the sheer aggression on the pitch we expect the supporters to enjoy from day one.
