The San Antonio Spurs will kick off summer league play on July 5 against the Miami Heat in the California Classic, and fans will have seven chances to see rookies Dylan Harper and Carter Bryant get some NBA action.
San Antonio will play against big names like Bronny James, Cooper Flagg, Ace Bailey, and Kon Knueppel this summer, although with Harper, they boast one of the brightest stars.
Harper and Bryant will be joined by Riley Minix, Harrison Ingram, Chibuzo Agbo, Cam Carter, Dexter Dennis, Ibrahima Diallo, Mouhamet Diouf, David Jones-Garcia, Kyle Mangas, Jackson Moni, Omari Moore, Osayi Osifo, Jameer Neslon Jr., Josh Uduje, and Noah Farrakhan. The team will be coached by the director of player development, Mike Noyes.
Last year's summer league hero, Jamaree Bouyea, will suit up for the Milwaukee Bucks, and David Duke Jr., who spent the last two seasons with the Spurs on a two-way contract, will not be on the roster.
The Spurs are expected to bring back Minix and Ingram on a two-way deal, and will have one spot open for a third. Of course, with their outgoing free agents, they have three open roster spots even after signing Luke Kornet, although bringing on a summer league player to a standard deal seems unlikely.
As the Spurs look to continue to bolster their frontcourt depth, Senegalese center Mouhamet Diouf could be a name to watch, as he found success in the Italian League, which is where the Spurs found Manu Ginobili.
