It has finally been confirmed that Junior Firpo will be embarking on a new chapter away from Leeds United.
His exit was waiting to be announced ever since Fabrizio Romano confirmed Firpo’s move to Real Betis, as the 28-year-old leaves Elland Road after four seasons.
Firpo’s contribution in the final campaign was unmatched, but the club and the player felt as though the time was right to separate.
Now, alternatives will have to be considered as there could be up to five Firpo replacements for Leeds.
But Daniel Farke might have more concerns as another player could be set to follow the Dominican Republic international out of the door.

Isaac Schmidt could be following Junior Firpo out of Leeds United
It’s bad enough that one left-back is exiting Elland Road, but now another in Isaac Schmidt, could find his fortunes lie elsewhere.
Schmidt had a disappointing first season in Yorkshire, playing 12 league games but only playing a remarkable 71 minutes.

Farke clearly saw the option not to rotate with Firpo on many occasions which left Schmidt threatening to leave.
It was clear the 25-year-old was being harshly treated in terms of game time, and now speaking to Blick Schmidt’s agent, Baykal Bellusci has given insight on his client’s future.
“He has developed, matured as a player, and proven himself with the national team,” Bellusci said.
“In a World Cup year, the top priority shouldn’t be to focus on finances. Instead, it’s all about one thing: Where can I play the most games to prove myself?”
“I’m convinced we’ll find a very good solution for him this summer.”

Schmidt could still have the chance to prove himself at Leeds
There must have been some reason for Farke signing the Swiss star as 71 minutes just isn’t justifiable.
To make matters worse for the Whites boss, fans say Schmidt deserves his chance having not really being given a platform to build on.
Before joining Leeds, Schmidt had already proved his worth at St. Gallen, and gave every reason why he could be the perfect attacking left-back.
Although his mind is made up, Firpo leaving could potentially open a new for him in the Premier League, but if Farke doesn’t guarantee that, his future should only lie in one place.
Schmidt is in a ‘joke’ situation at Leeds, and it might be best for the left-back to put himself first this summer.
