Arsenal edging closer to sign Man United striker target

Arsenal and Man United both have one common striker target this summer. But, the Red Devils have now been handed a big blow as Gunners are edging closer to sign the goalscorer.

Arsenal are in desperate need of a striker this summer. Mikel Arteta has learnt that he can’t win major titles without proper striker. Hence, Gunners are ready to spend big and land clinical number nine. As of now, they are being linked with multiple big names.

On the other hand, Man United are also in need of a new striker. They are ready to move on from both Hojlund and Zirkzee. Ruben Amorim wants a striker who can score on regular basis. But, it is turning very hard for them to convince top strikers due to absence in UCL.

Arsenal close to sign Slovenian striker

One striker who is on radar of both United and Arsenal is Benjamin Sesko. He is 22 year old Slovenian striker who currently plays for RB Leipzig. He has been very good in recent seasons due to which top clubs are keen to sign him.

According to Caught Offside, Arsenal are close to reach agreement with Leipzig for Sesko. The 22 year old will cost Gunners around €75 million despite Leipzig initially wanting €80 million. Sesko will be a long term investment for Gunners.

This will come as a big blow for United. They have already lost Liam Delap. In addition, Gyokeres is also not very keen to join them due to absence of UCL. And now, Gunners are close to sign Sesko due to which United will have to look at other available options.

The report adds that Sesko is also looked upon by Man City and Real Madrid. But, these clubs are unlikely to make any move for him this summer. Hence, Sesko joining Arsenal will not come as a blow for them as they do have quality players available.
