Leeds United boss Daniel Farke is a great coach, but some of his decisions last season were questionable. His squad management left question marks for most of the campaign.
His insistence on a small squad nearly cost Leeds during the season. When injuries hit, he ended up having to rely on players he rarely used. When the squad was at full health, his team selection was baffling at times. Even a poor run of form could not prevent him from sticking with his core of players.

Farke left Schmidt and Ramazani on the bench for large parts of the season. It was only near the end of the year that they saw some minutes.
Another player who has been hard done by is Mateo Joseph. The forward was set to have a great season, but failed to start a single league game since January of this year. Joseph went to the U21 Euros and impressed; he has interest from Europe this summer.
Spanish outlet Diario de Sevilla have revealed that ”talks” between Leeds and Betis have stalled, and no fee has been agreed after weeks of negotiations. The Whites are reportedly open to selling, but nothing has materialized yet. Betis have Real Madrid’s Gonzalo Garcia on their shortlist as they ponder their next move.
Joseph exit might be the way forward
With the arrival of Nmecha and another striker on the way, Joseph might find playing time hard to come by. Betis have a plan for him next season, and will give him playing time. Leeds will also get profit which would go towards PSR.
Losing a huge talent is not the best, but this deal may work out for everyone involved. The Charlie Cresswell move should be something the club reflect on before making a decision.
