Several Liverpool forwards are facing significant uncertainty this summer.
Darwin Nunez of course is under immediate threat with Napoli trying to come to an agreement with the Reds over a transfer.

Then there’s Luis Diaz. The Colombian winger is the subject of transfer interest from Bayern Munich, Barcelona and clubs in the Saudi Pro League. If Liverpool can achieve an €80m transfer fee then he too could be leaving.

We also have to consider the case of Federico Chiesa. Signed for a fee that could reach £12.5m back in September 2024, the former Juventus winger has struggled at Anfield.
Federico Chiesa linked with move away
He only appeared in six Premier League matches last season and has been linked with a transfer back to Serie A. Anfieldwatch revealed Chiesa was homesick as early as January, although a mooted return to his home country did not materialise in winter.
But the rumours haven’t gone away.
We’ve seen stories linking the 27-year-old with AC Milan, Roma and other Serie A sides in recent weeks. And now Fabrizio Romano has confirmed what Chiesa is thinking ahead of a potential transfer away from Anfield.
Chiesa wants to leave Liverpool says Romano
The Euro 2020 winner wants to QUIT Liverpool this summer in order to win back his place in the national team.
“We also have to keep an eye on the situation of Federico Chiesa, because, according to my information, he wants to go back to Italy,” the Italian wrote in Caught Offside.
“He wants to leave Liverpool, not because he has any problem – he loves the club, he loves his teammates, and all the people at the club – but the problem is that Chiesa is not playing on a regular basis.
“So, he wants to go, he wants to play, he also wants to be back with the Italian national team, so playing regularly for his club will be crucial.
“So, Chiesa is going, but let’s just see which club will be able to reach an agreement with Liverpool. There is some interest from Italy, especially from Napoli also in this case.”

Chiesa taken to the hearts of Anfield fans
It’s been reported that Liverpool would let Chiesa leave for around €15m - meaning they would not suffer any loss on the initial transfer.

He signed a contract until 2028 but it is unlikely that the Italy winger will see out that deal.
Chiesa has been taken to the hearts of Liverpool fans - who have been impressed on his fleeting outings - but it looks like his story will continue away from Merseyside should a deal be done.
