SUNDERLAND will move on to alternative goalkeeping targets after Marcin Bulka agreed a lucrative deal to join Saudi Arabian club Neom.
Bulka has been the subject of strong transfer interest from the [Black Cats](http://www.thenorthernecho.co.uk/sport/football/sunderland), who have held a series of discussions with Nice over the Poland international.
Sunderland were willing to meet Nice’s asking price for the 25-year-old, but newly-promoted Saudi side Neom agreed a €15m deal with the Ligue 1 side and were given formal permission to conduct personal talks.
Neom have reportedly offered Bulka a bumper deal worth around £160,000-a-week, which is way in excess of Sunderland would have been willing to offer.
While Bulka had initially indicated a desire to test himself in the Premier League, it appears as though money has talked and he is now on the verge of completing a switch to Saudi Arabia.

Sunderland remain determined to strengthen their goalkeeping ranks this summer, and will now switch their focus to alternative targets.
Anthony Patterson and Simon Moore remain on the club’s books, but Nathan Bishop completed a permanent move to AFC Wimbledon earlier today.
Sunderland are expected to confirm the club-record signing of Strasbourg midfielder Habib Diarra shortly, and have also agreed a deal for left-back Reinildo Mandava, who is a free agent following his release from Atletico Madrid.
