Hill Dickinson Stadium set for exciting new addition as work begins at new Everton stadium

A giant Everton badge is one of the first features to be added as club branding is added to the Hill Dickinson Stadium

Work is underway to add the Everton branding to the club’s stunning new stadium. A giant club crest is being installed on the outside wall of one of the stands as work begins to turn the state-of-the-art stadium into the Blues’ new home.

It follows the beginning of work to add the name of the ground’s sponsors, Hill Dickinson, to the roof as preparations for the new campaign ramp up.

The first senior match will take place in just over a month when Roma visit for a club friendly that will be followed by a legends game in what is set to be the third test event for the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

It will be the first time the ground is open to capacity after 10,000, then 25,000 spectators watched Everton’s academy sides in the first two trial events.

The first competitive match will take place a fortnight later when Brighton and Hove Albion visit the Liverpool waterfront in the Premier League.

Work is ongoing to ensure the stadium and its surroundings are ready for the historic first season. As well as the branding, the poignant Everton Way, a commemorative pathway made up of 36,000 tribute bricks inscribed with supporter messages, is also nearing completion.
