Last season, Lillard averaged solid numbers of 24.9 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 7.1 assists per game, while shooting 44.8% from the field and 37.6% from three.

Giannis, meanwhile, had another MVP-caliber season, posting averages of 30.4 points, 11.9 rebounds, and 6.5 assists per game on an efficient 60.1% shooting from the field.

The Bucks’ move to waive Lillard was part of a bigger plan to clear salary cap space, which allowed them to acquire big man Myles Turner from the Indiana Pacers.

Turner averaged 15.6 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 2.0 blocks per game last season, shooting 48.1% from the field and 39.6% from beyond the arc. His rim protection and shooting ability add valuable tools to Milwaukee’s frontcourt.
