Liverpool’s summer rebuild is picking up even more speed.
After securing personal terms with Marc Guehi, the Reds have no plans to pause their aggressive recruitment drive.
Arne Slot wants a fresh injection of attacking quality to help build on last season’s Premier League title win.
Fabrizio Romano has now revealed that Liverpool are actively exploring their next major signing, this time targeting the forward line.
Supporters have grown used to decisive moves this summer, with Jeremie Frimpong, Florian Wirtz and Milos Kerkez joining early to allow for a full pre-season under Slot.
Now, attention has shifted to landing a new striker who can take Liverpool’s attack to the next level.

Ekitike emerges as Liverpool’s main forward target
Fabrizio Romano confirmed Liverpool are working on a deal for Eintracht Frankfurt striker Hugo Ekitike.
The 23-year-old Frenchman produced an outstanding season, tallying 22 goals and 12 assists in 48 games.
His pace and skill on the ball have already caught the eye of the recruitment team.
Romano explained, “Liverpool are working on this deal. Liverpool are discussing the possibility of adding Hugo Ekitike to their squad.
“The idea of Liverpool is to have one more striker, and they are waiting to understand what happens with Darwin Nunez, with conversations ongoing with Napoli.”
Napoli remain keen to sign Nunez, but the Italian side may struggle to afford the fee Liverpool expect.
Hugo Ekitike stands out as a leading candidate, though Romano made it clear fans shouldn’t expect a quick resolution.
Talks with Frankfurt will take time and Liverpool must decide if they can raise funds by moving players on.
While Newcastle’s Alexander Isak remains the dream signing, the costs look prohibitive after Liverpool’s record £116m outlay on Florian Wirtz.
Compared to Isak, Ekitike appears more attainable at a reported £85m.
Romano noted that Liverpool will keep exploring options while monitoring the Nunez situation.
If the Uruguayan leaves, the path to Ekitike could open up fast.
But for now, the club remain patient, knowing this pursuit could stretch deep into August.
