Newcastle United have issued an apology after temporarily taking down their new Adidas video to promote the new third kit - but references to Steve Bruce remain in the piece.
Chronicle Live understands that Newcastle put Bruce's 2020 bacon quip to the former head coach before publication and he did not have an issue with the light-hearted Press conference moment that became a meme.
It was five years ago when Bruce was asked how the winter break had gone with Bruce pretending he misheard and asking: "How's the bacon did you say?".
The scene in question featured an flag which referenced the Japanese 'Rising Sun' flag.
Newcastle removed the scene that had been spotted by viewers and removed the Adidas Originals video starring Sam Fender. The club posted on X: "The reaction to our new third kit with adidas has been special, but the launch video contained a scene that could inadvertently cause offence.
"We apologise for that. We’ve removed the scene from the film to make sure that as many fans as possible can enjoy it."
A club spokesman later said: "We have been alerted to the appearance of a flag in our recent third kit launch video that could inadvertently cause offence.
“In response, we immediately removed the video from circulation and have taken steps to edit the visual from all future content. We sincerely apologise for any offence caused."
The new third kit went on sale today at 9am at the club shop and online and the advert also features Sam Fender, Tino Asprilla and Jonas Gutierrez taking part in a promotional video at the city's Irish Centre.
Isak shouts a message over to the Colombian cult hero in a twist Newcastle fans loved as the advert went viral, with the two strike stars then locked in conversation.
Of course, things can change quickly in football and Liverpool's interest is believed to be real. But there has been no bid, approach or even enquiry so far from Liverpool.
One poster commented: "But some say Isak has asked to leave. Funny he looks happy speaking to a legend there. Brilliant video I’m hooked! But for the love of god sign some players asap."
The video also includes Dan Burn uttering the same infamous words as former boss Steve Bruce at the end of the shoot. As comedian and Newcastle fan Asim Chaudhry asks the Blyth lad how his "break" was, the Carabao Cup final hero says: "How's the bacon did you say?"
