Max Dowman has returned to training with Arsenal today.
The hugely talented youngster has been given the number 56 shirt, which suggests that he is officially part of the U21 squad despite technically being an U16 player.
15-year-old Dowman, who excelled for Arsenal’s U18 team last season, is expected to be involved with the first-team during pre-season.
Dowman made his debut for Arsenal U21s as a substitute against Brighton last season when he was still 14; becoming the youngest ever player to appear in Premier League 2.
Last month the midfielder, who can also play as a winger, featured for England at the U17 European Championship.
Winger Louis Zecevic John is also back in training with Arsenal.
