Manchester United have already been busy so far this summer, adding forward Matheus Cunha to Ruben Amorim’s squad.
The Brazilian arrived at Old Trafford earlier this summer, having impressed for Wolves last term.
Cunha is unlikely to be the last arrival at United this summer, with Amorim and those in charge of the club likely to want to make further additions after a disastrous campaign last season.
With that in mind, it appears that United are attempting to sign a Serie A midfielder.
According to CaughtOffside, the Manchester outfit have enquired about the availability of Inter Milan midfielder Davide Frattesi.
The report claims that the Red Devils have contacted the Serie A giants to ask about the conditions of a possible deal for the player.

Frattesi, 25, joined Inter from fellow Italian side Sassuolo in 2024 having impressed on loan at the club the previous season.
The Italian midfielder has now played 89 times for Inter across all competitions, but the report suggests that the Serie A side are willing to allow him to leave this summer.
Frattesi himself is said to be currently considering his options, with several sides showing interest in the player.
Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, Atletico Madrid and AS Roma are all credited with an interest in the Italy international, who is under contract until the end of the 2027/28 campaign.
The report also claims that Inter had initially been demanding a fee of around £42 million for Frattesi, however the club have now dropped their asking price to around £30 million.
A central midfielder is said to be high on United’s list of priorities this summer, with Christian Eriksen having already departed United since the end of last season.
