It’s heating up in the summer transfer window and Manchester United are still aiming to offload many of their unwanted players.
Ruben Amorim aims to get better results after a disastrous 2024/25 campaign.
Manchester United lost the Europa League final and finished 15th in the Premier League, which means there will be fewer midweek fixtures next term due to having no European football to look forward to.
That makes it a little more tricky for United in the transfer window too, although the Reds have already signed Matheus Cunha from Wolves and they plan to add Bryan Mbeumo to the squad before pre-season begins later this month.
Ineos will plan to make further signings, but that will depend on whether they can sell unwanted players, including most of the United loanees from last season.

Marcus Rashford could do the opposite to Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui
There have been eight players who have played for both United and Bayern Munich, including Mark Hughes and Owen Hargreaves.
Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui both transferred directly from Bayern Munich to United last summer, with the latter proving to be one of the club’s best buys in recent years due to his value and impact on the team.
Recent reports suggest Bayern Munich could be interested in a move for Marcus Rashford, despite the United forward dreaming of a switch to Barcelona.

It is now understood that Rashford is keen on moving abroad so long as it’s for a club that competes for titles. Bayern won the Bundesliga last term and he could join England teammate Harry Kane at the Allianz Arena.
Of course, it remains to be seen if Bayern can strike a deal with United for Rashford and that would take the German club to formalise their interest with a formal offer for the player who is unlikely to play under Amorim again after falling out of favour with the Portuguese coach.
That would see Rashford make the opposite move to De Ligt and Mazraoui in the transfer window. He would be joining a less competitive league, though one he would likely score plenty of goals in while experiencing football in a new country.
Rashford may have impressed at Aston Villa on loan last season, but his future remains uncertain, and the recent reports of interest from Bayern Munich came as a surprise because the German giants have signed a player directly from United.
Rashford is expected to return to pre-season training at United next week.
Bayern Munich hope to take advantage of Man Utd again
Throwback to 2015. Louis van Gaal signed Bastian Schweinsteiger from Bayern Munich as Pep Guardiola quickly decided that the Bayern icon had no future left at the Allianz Arena.
The midfielder was unable to reach his previous standards on the pitch because his legs were gone. When Jose Mourinho replaced Van Gaal, one of his first decisions was to freeze Schweinsteiger out of the squad a year before he was sold to Chicago Fire.
Schweinsteiger is one of the great German players, but most United fans will agree that he came to the club too late in his career, despite being linked multiple times during Sir Alex Ferguson’s reign.
This was an example of Bayern Munich taking advantage of United in the market as they made £14.4 million on Schweinsteiger.
Bayern may look at Rashford and think they can take advantage of United again. Ineos just want to ensure that the forward is no longer on the wage book and they can get a good price for his signature.
