Manchester United midfielder Kobbie Mainoo is back in the UK. And so is a former player.
Kobbie Mainoo is preparing for a full pre-season after missing most of the 2024-25 preparations.
Mainoo was still playing for England at Euro 2024 this time last year, which caused him to miss Manchester United’s pre-season tour.
In 2025, Mainoo has already had his holidays, where he has been away overseas with Leny Yoro, and they were even spotted with Paul Pogba.
Now Mainoo has been spotted with another former Manchester United player.
Kobbie Mainoo spotted with Mason Greenwood
Kobbie Mainoo has been pictured at a training venue with former Manchester United graduates Mason Greenwood and James Garner.
Garner played in the same youth team as Greenwood and has remained close to him.

Mainoo was in the younger age groups and made his Manchester United first team breakthrough after both had left the club.
Garner is currently at Everton, while Manchester United sold Greenwood to Marseille in summer 2024, having loaned him out to Getafe in 2023.
Greenwood last played for Manchester United in January 2022, before being charged with multiple criminal offences. The case was later dropped by the CPS.

United set to return to pre-season
Kobbie Mainoo will be expected back at pre-season when Manchester United players return on July 7.
There are plenty of reasons for United fans to be optimistic, and Mainoo is one of them. But being pictured in the same vicinity as Mason Greenwood is not the best optics.
Fortunately, we will soon have some football to look forward to, with United gearing up for the pre-season schedule which begins with a match against Leeds in Stockholm.
