Manchester United have officially missed out on attacking target Antoine Semenyo as he commits his future away from Old Trafford.
The Red Devils have been looking to rebuild their squad this summer, with remodelling their attack being a key priority so far.
As such, the club have already signed Matheus Cunha from Wolverhampton Wanderers, with a move for Bryan Mbeumo of Brentford also being prioritised.
However, Semenyo was also a key part of their attacking shortlist, having made contact with the winger back in May.
It’s understood that the 25-year-old fitted well with INEOS’ new recruitment strategy of prioritising proven Premier League talents of 26-years-old or under to make an instant impact at Old Trafford whilst also having youth on their side.

Semenyo fitted into this category, racking up 20 goals and nine assists in 81 Premier League appearances across three seasons, improving year on year.
However, Bournemouth’s price tag of £70 million for the versatile attacker was a starting point to seeing The Red Devils step away from the Ghana international.
This hefty valuation was too much for United to continue to pursue, especially with a focus on Bryan Mbeumo for around £65 million.
However, Fabrizio Romano has now confirmed that any potential move is firmly off the table with Antoine Semenyo signing a new deal to stay at Bournemouth.
The attacker’s new deal will see him remain with The Cherries until 2030, making a massive statement for Bournemouth in securing the long-term future of one of the hottest Premier League players this season.
Thankfully this wont come as a major blow for United who are still confident in being able to sign Mbeumo, with the club still in negotiations with Brentford to finalise the deal to see the Cameroon international move to Old Trafford.
