Former Chelsea star Marcos Alonso left heartbroken at official announcement from Stamford Bridge

Due to the influx of players already reportedly signed by Chelsea, attention will now turn to those who they are trying to facilitate exits for.

The Blues have agreed fees for Jamie Gittens and Joao Pedro, with the latter set to be in the squad for the Club World Cup quarter-final against Palmeiras.

With Liam Delap already with the first team, and the additions of Mamadou Sarr and Dario Assugo agreed before the window began, sales are going to need to go through before they can do more business.

Enzo Maresca wants two more signings in his squad, and will be happy to part ways with a number of individuals to see him achieve his goals.

One of those players was Kepa Arrizabalaga, who clearly had no future at Stamford Bridge despite wavering confidence in the current goalkeeping options at the club.

Marcos Alonso heartbroken at Kepa Arrizabalaga’s Chelsea exit

Kepa had impressed those at Arsenal during his loan spell at Bournemouth, and it has been confirmed that the Spaniard has made the switch across London.

The goalkeeper said an emotional goodbye on his Instagram page, despite it being over two years since he has made a competitive appearance for the Blues.

In the comments, former teammate Marcos Alonso replied with an upset emoji, showing he was gutted that his countryman’s time at Stamford Bridge had come to an end.

Kepa’s record as Chelsea goalkeeper

Kepa played 163 games in all competitions for Chelsea, while also spending time on loan at Bournemouth and Real Madrid.

He kept 59 clean sheets in his time in West London, however the moment he will most be remembered for is likely one he’d rather forget.

Kepa rejected Maurizio Sarri’s decision to replace him in the final minutes of the 2018 League Cup final, with him wanting to bring on Willy Caballero for the penalty shootout.

The Blues would go on to lose the game, and the Spaniard would be temporarily dropped from the side.
