Less than seven months after revealing his cancer diagnosis, former wide receiver and NFL legend, Randy Moss, is set to return to work.
ESPN revealed to The Athletic's Andrew Marchand that Moss is expected to return to his full-time role on Sunday NFL Countdown for Week 1 this coming season after making progress in his recovery.
"Randy's return on Super Bowl Sunday was an emotional lift - not just for our team but for the entire football community - and knowing he will resume his full Sunday NFL Countdown schedule, beginning in Week 1, has been the highlight of the offseason," ESPN said in a statement.
Moss revealed he was diagnosed with cancer in the bile duct between his pancreas and liver in December 2023. Moss added that he had a six-day stay in a Charlotte, North Carolina hospital and had surgery to treat the cancer.

Moss said he had a stent inserted into his liver after complications due to his condition, and he underwent both radiation and chemotherapy treatment.
Moss, who is entering his 10th year with the network, made a brief return to ESPN in February for the Super Bowl after missing the final two months of the 2024 season.
Moss enjoyed a legendary career that spanned 14 seasons and saw stints with the Minnesota Vikings, Oakland Raiders, New England Patriots, Tennessee Titans and San Francisco 49ers.
Moss retired following the 2012 campaign and was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2018.
