LANSING, Mich. (WILX)—Former News 10 Sports anchor Ahmed Fareed has been announced as the new host of NBC Sports’ Big Ten College Countdown, a primetime college football show that will air on Saturday nights beginning in August.
After football season, Fareed will host NBC Sports’ Monday night NBA coverage on Peacock.
Fareed is a native of Sparta, Michigan, and attended Michigan State before graduating from Syracuse in 2002. He worked as a weekend sports anchor at WILX News 10 early in his career.
