It’s July and the transfer window is expected to heat up for Manchester United.
Ruben Amorim will soon embark on his first full season as Manchester United head coach, after a difficult start to life at Old Trafford.
United lost the Europa League final and finished 15th in the Premier League, meaning there will be no Champions League for a second consecutive season.
For some players last season, including Tyrell Malacia, they had the opportunity to be among United’s loanees.
Some of them made the most of it and should secure summer moves away from United. That includes Antony and Marcus Rashford. Real Betis want to keep the Brazilian winger, while Rashford dreams of joining Barcelona, and he is also being linked with a move to Bayern Munich this week.
Malacia had a less enjoyable spell on loan at PSV Eindhoven, where he failed to impress to the point that they are not interested in keeping him beyond the temporary spell. It remains to be seen if United will be able to find a new club for the Netherlands international.
That said, PSV enjoyed Eredivisie success, which meant Malacia was part of a title-winning side, so it wasn’t all terrible for the left-back and he was part of a good side.

Tyrell Malacia aiming for ‘success’
Malacia’s career is at a crossroads but he is a player Ineos could afford to get off the wage bill.

The problem United usually have is selling players and they already know they won’t make any profit on a struggling left-back they paid €17m for from Feyenoord back in 2022.
Malacia joined United following a recommendation from former United manager Erik ten Hag.
Now that Ten Hag is no longer at United and Malacia has had a horrid spell with injuries, it remains to be seen if he has a future at the club or in the Premier League.
Malacia appears to be putting plenty of work in during the summer months to prepare for the new season, whether that will be at Old Trafford or elsewhere. United are already well covered at left-back with Diego Leon is on his way to Manchester to join the squad for pre-season.
The Dutch left-back’s personal trainer has updated his Instagram with a story of Malacia suggesting that he is working hard to achieve ‘success’.
The update suggests Malacia has been working every day during the summer break.
Malacia will be hoping he can win the title elsewhere if he doesn’t end up back in the Eredivisie.
Malacia set to fall down United pecking order
Leon has already shown the right mentality about fighting for a place at United.
They will be words of warning for Patrick Dorgu and every other left-back in Ruben Amorim’s squad.
Malacia will inevitably fall down United’s pecking order for left-backs like Luke Shaw.
It has been suggested that United are struggling to find any interest in Malaica.
Harry Amass could get the opportunity to compete for a place or he may even be sent on loan before the start of the new campaign.
