Manchester United legend Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took on the role of manager at Besiktas in January enjoying an impressive run of form as he now prepares for his first full season in charge.

When Solskjaer took charge, the Turkish side were sitting in sixth in the Super Lig, however nine wins, four draws and four loses later, and the club finished in fourth place.

This rise of two places helped the club earn a place in the Europa League qualifiers, as opposed to missing out on European football next season.

Now, Solskljear is getting things in line, hoping to fight his way further up the table, hoping to help the side clinch a 17th Super Lig title before his contract ends next summer.

Already the Turkish side have signed Tammy Abraham from AS Roma for £17 million as they look to strengthen their attacking line.

However, the club are also looking to offer a lifeline to one of Solskjaer’s former Manchester United men.

The Daily Mail has reported that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is looking to make a move for Brandon Williams following his return to football.

The former United man was recently handed a two-year suspended sentence for a dangerous driving offence committed back in May.

However, shortly after the verdict, Williams expressed his desire to get back to football and restart his career.

It’s understood that initial talks have been had with the defender who was handed his Manchester United debut under none other than Ole Gunnar Solskjaer back in November 2020.

Whilst it’s unknown what the outcome of those talks have been, it’s an interesting move from the Norwegian manager going for the 24-year-old who’s been without a club since July 2024.
