Viktor Gyokeres is one of the hottest strikers in the world of football right now, and he’s reportedly found his next club.
The Sweden international has been at odds with Sporting CP over recent weeks around potential breach in the gentleman’s agreement made when the striker signed his new contract.
Despite having a £85 million release clause, it was reportedly agreed that should Gyokeres want to leave the club, he could do so for around £52 million.
However, Sporting’s president has come out publicly to explain that no such fee was agreed after being called out for breaching the agreement by demanding £67 million for the striker.
Since then, Gyokeres has threatened to go on strike if a deal isn’t lined up for him to leave the club, with links to Manchester United since Ruben Amorim left the Portuguese club for Old Trafford.
However, United are on the verge of missing out on the talented striker as he has reportedly agreed terms with one of United’s rivals.

Journalist Nicolo Schira has taken to X to report that Arsenal have now got an agreement in principle with Viktor Gyokeres to see the striker move to London until 2030.
Arsenal are looking for a reliable striker to help them end their silverware drought, with Gyokeres having scored an impressive 97 goals and grabbed 28 assists in 102 games for the Portuguese club.
If Arsenal do get everything across the line, Ruben Amorim will be missing out on yet another striker on their summer shortlist after Liam Delap moved to Chelsea.
It’s also looking likely that The Red Devils could miss out on Hugo Ekitike or Victor Osimhen, with Liverpool targeting the pair as a major upgrade for Darwin Nunez who appears to be close to a move to Napoli.
