Ravens' Star QB Reveals Hardest Part of NFL

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson has had quite a run in the NFL since arriving in the 2018 NFL Draft.

Coming off a Heisman Trophy at Louisville, he came to a team with a Super Bowl-winning head coach in John Harbaugh and quarterback in Joe Flacco.

The former Cardinal took over the starting job in 2017 and threw a league-leading 36 touchdowns and earned a Pro Bowl nod, a First-Team All-Pro selection and his first NFL-MVP. Jackson also finished second in AP Offensive Player of the Year honors.

While the transition from college star to NFL MVP was seemingly smooth, Jackson has struggled with one aspect of the game.

Jackson revealed to Kevin Hart on his Cold as Balls podcast what he thinks the hardest part of playing in the NFL is.

"Just being a leader," Jackson said. "I'm going to say being a leader. I'm really not outspoken, being vocal with my guys, like 'let's do this and that' with a great motivational speech, I don't have that. I just pretty much lead by example. I'm going to go out there, I'm going to work hard and I expect that out of you, but as I've been growing in the league, it's like 'nah, you got to talk to the guys.'"

Jackson has earned another NFL MVP and three more Pro Bowls since that 2019 season, as well as two more First-Team All-Pros.

He also seems to have figured out the whole leadership thing. While it may not come naturally, he's earned the respect of his teammates and coaches.
