Damian Lillard's First Post After Being Waived by Milwaukee Bucks

The Milwaukee Bucks' Damian Lillard era is officially over. This is after the team decided to waive the nine-time All-Star following his season-ending Achilles injury.

Lillard is expected to miss most, if not all, of the 2025-26 campaign with this injury, and the Bucks decided that the best way to move forward here is by parting ways with the 34-year-old point guard.

This decision also came after Milwaukee was able to pry Myles Turner away from the Indiana Pacers on a four-year, $107 million deal. According to reports, the Bucks are restructuring the remaining $113 million of Lillard's current contract to make room for Turner.

Lillard has now broken his silence after this major development. He did not have a lengthy statement--at least not yet--but instead, opted to post a single photo of himself on Instagram.

The seven-time All-NBA guard included a couple of hashtags in his caption, including one that said, "#ToBeContinued."

There is considerable uncertainty surrounding Lillard's future, particularly regarding where he will land once he officially becomes a free agent. However, despite his long-term injury, there will likely be no shortage of interest in Lillard from opposing teams.

It remains to be seen where Lillard will end up, but he appears to have indicated in his post that he's already looking forward to the next chapter of his career.

Lillard's brief time in Milwaukee comes to an end after two seasons. During that stretch, he posted averages of 24.6 points on 43.4% shooting, 4.5 rebounds, 7.0 assists and 1.1 steals, while also knocking down 3.2 triples per game on a 36.4% clip.
